Christine + David currently live in the booming city of Atlanta, Georgia … but they were looking for a bit of southern comfort for their engagement photos. So we spent the morning strolling both the country and the city in Savannah, Georgia.
They share so much love for each other. One look at them interacting and you could tell. We asked Christine what her favorite thing about David was and she replied: “Everything. Seriously though. He is the ultimate gentleman, patient, selfless, honest, full of love… and ‘looks like the guy from The Notebook’!” Ryan Gosling…I mean David…answered the question this way: “She inspires me to be a better person. She’s the most kind person I’ve ever met, honest, how she takes my arm when we walk, how we sleep like a bowl of spaghetti..” Haha. And that, my friends, sums up this perfect couple!
Shelby & Stevens are such a sweet sweet couple. While they were actually married last year, they celebrated their big day with all of their closest friends and families this May. Their day was full of Southern flair and classic ivory and whites. But why am I talking about it when I can just show you?! Take a look for yourselves! [and congrats you two!]
The day began like many other days in the South. Warm. Humid. Beautiful. But today…today is was extra beautiful. Today Adam would ask Cheyenne to be his wife, and Cheyenne would ask Adam to be her husband. The day was beautiful with not a cloud in the sky. They couldn’t have asked for anything better. We were so honored to be a part of such a beautiful day and we’re so excited to finally share it with you guys! Grab a tissue and your waterproof mascara, guys. You’re going to need it!
Katherine and James’s love story began in a typically unlikely setting, the army. While the army is tough and resilient and brave, somehow a little bit of sweet love snuck in an snatched these two away. We were so happy to spend a little time with these guys and document this incredible moment in both of their lives. Congrats, you two! And make sure to say hello to little Conner for us! 
We admit that Bevin and Josh hold a very special place in our hearts. When we first sat down with them a few months ago, Bevin complimented us on our soft light-filled style. As photographers, we’re constantly critiquing our own work. Is this image too dark? Is it too vibrant? Is it showing the emotion that was truly there? Bevin’s compliment slapped us across the face in the best way possible. No matter how many questions we have about photos, we’re obviously doing something right. And it was so refreshing to hear her say how much she loved our work. It was so sincere and honest. It really meant a lot.
Now just a few months later, Bevin and Josh get to be a part of this work. We adored their soft southern session at Savannah’s old dairy farm. It was the perfect backdrop for their sweet Georgia love story. Let me quit blabbing. Take a look yourself!
Let’s talk Sarah and Nick! We fell in love with Sarah and Nick the first time we met them. They are so comfortable around each other! Sarah has such a sweet and spry personality while Nick literally can’t stop himself from laughing. No, really.
The Happy Bloom: Okay, Nick. Let’s try a kiss.

The Happy Bloom: Alright, well. That’s one way to do it. Less teeth kissing. I don’t think that will make the blog!

These guys are just so full of energy and laughter. We love it! Here’s a look at their sweet engagement session here in beautiful Savannah, Georgia!
They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. In that case, Maegan and Chase have 200 years of good luck coming their way! With the threat of rain coming just seconds before the ceremony, Chase says out loud, “Let’s keep this thing going!” His words must have been stronger than we all thought because after that the rain left. Maegan and Chase celebrated their big day with an intimate ceremony at Auburn’s Webster House. Here’s just glimpse at their sweet wedding day!
Olivia (a crazy talented graphic designer) and Brady (your idea of the perfect outdoorsman) are the perfect combination of arts & outdoors. I knew that when Olivia began talking about the engagement session that we would have some super beautiful and creative photos! And I was right! Help us celebrate the love between these two amazing people by taking a look at their southern, romantic love story.
We don’t get many maternity sessions… so when we do, we do everything in our power to make them oh so warm and lovely. We’ve known Brandi for a long time. In fact, she is Justin’s (the owner) first cousin. Brandi may be even MORE beautiful when she is pregnant; she is the epitome of the ideal pregnancy glow. She, along with her other two children Landen & Kyland, ventured outside of town 45 minutes to a beautiful open field at sunset. It was a lengthy drive and I’m sure they were like, “Where the heck are we going?” But one look at these photos will tell you why we picked this location. There is nothing quite like a warm sunset in an open field far away from the city.
Brooke and Christopher are the epitome of a southern classic fairytale. With a ceremony at First Baptist Church and reception at the historic Shorter Mansion, southern heritage just fills these photos. We had a blast hanging out with these two on their beautiful day! Congrats, you two!
